The first Friday of every month, Kindemusik with Cath goes "senior". We meet at a retirement village at frailcare, where we enjoy our music time with the seniors temendously. 

One of the senior ladies has lovingly called her room Sunshine corner; it is here where we gather - consequently You are my sunshine - from the Village curriculum - has become our signature tune. Here, we belt out our Village tunes, serenade one another, play with instruments, do creative movement with scarves and are entertained by a puppet...!

Kindermusik activities are not random, but are carefully designed to aid brain development and create new neural pathways in the brain. Kindermusik activities have many benefits, three of which I will mention here, relevant to seniors - cognitive development including auditory memory, socialization and hand-eye coordination.
